How a Residential Roof Replacement Works

1. Free inspection. We get up on the roof and check shingles, flashing, vents, decking (where we can see it), and attic ventilation. Then we show you the photos.
2. A written price. You get it before anything starts, covering materials, ventilation, ice and water shield, and how any rotted decking will be handled.
3. Permits. Martin Exteriors pulls and handles all required permits. All our work meets or exceeds local building codes and manufacturer specifications.
4. Tear-off and install. We strip down to the deck, replace any bad wood, then install ice and water shield at the eaves and valleys, underlayment, shingles, and ridge ventilation to GAF’s specifications. Most roofs are replaced in a day.
5. Cleanup and walkthrough. A magnetic sweep for nails, haul-away, and a final walkthrough with you. Removal and disposal are included in our scope, so there will be no hidden expenses.
