Siding Contractor in Beloit, WI

Beloit is a short drive from our office at 11704 Main St in Roscoe, and we’re on the Wisconsin side of the line every week, just like we are in South Beloit on the Illinois side. Martin Exteriors Roofing & Siding holds Wisconsin license #1436189. We’re family-owned, we’ve been doing this since 2006, and we’re a GAF Master Elite contractor and a four-time Inc. 5000 company. We have been voted What Rocks Rockford Best Siding, 2021-2025. Call (815) 624-6278.

Older Homes and Newer Builds in Beloit

Beloit has everything from older homes near Beloit College, downtown and the Rock River to newer builds off Milwaukee Road.

Many older houses have been re-sided at least once already. When we strip a wall on one of them, we might find two or three layers and some soft sheathing near the bottom. That’s normal. We take it all off, fix the wall, and most jobs get new house wrap before anything new goes up. We handle removal of any old siding, asbestos included.

Choosing Vinyl or James Hardie

Vinyl siding from Mastic and Norandex is the go-to for most ranches and post-war homes. It’s low-maintenance, comes in a wide range of colors and profiles, and installed right it often lasts 20 to 40 years. Insulated vinyl is a nice upgrade on older houses with little or no wall insulation.

James Hardie fiber cement is worth a serious look on the older homes near the college and downtown. It has the look of the original painted wood lap, it’s non-combustible, and it handles hail and impact better than vinyl. It costs more up front and is backed by James Hardie’s own product warranty.

Not sure? We’ll bring both to your house and show you what each would look like on your walls.

Rock County Winters and Storms

Storms that come up the Rock River valley don’t stop at the state line. Hail cracks vinyl and dents older siding, and spring and summer wind pulls loose panels off. Then winter brings months of freeze and thaw, which is hard on any siding that wasn’t installed with room to move. We install in winter too, and we handle vinyl carefully in the cold so it doesn’t crack. Most jobs take 1 to 2 days.

If your siding took a hit in a storm, we’ll check it for free, photograph the damage and tell you whether it’s worth an insurance claim. Matching older colors can be tricky, and we’ll tell you straight if a repair won’t match.

What Customers Say

“Last year, I had a new concrete patio installed and they did not finish the siding portion that met up with the patio. Nick was at the house during the bidding process and I asked how he would complete the siding project to make it look seemless and keep water from intruding in the basement. He laid out his idea and his price was fair. The siding / patio look great.”

Joe K., Google review

“Justin and Trish were awesome. They took the time to walk me through the process of getting my roof replaced and assisted with the claims process. 10/10 would recommend to anybody”

Beloit Siding FAQ

Do you install siding in Beloit, Wisconsin?

Yes. Beloit is a short drive from our Roscoe office, and we work in Rock County every week. Our Wisconsin license number is #1436189.

My older Beloit house has two layers of old siding. Is that a problem?

No. We take off all the old layers, repair the wall underneath, and put on new house wrap, which most of our jobs get. We handle removal of any old siding, asbestos included.

Is James Hardie a good fit for an older home near Beloit College?

Often, yes. James Hardie fiber cement has the look of painted wood lap and holds up well to hail. Vinyl from Mastic or Norandex costs less and is easier to maintain. We’ll help you compare.

Do I need a permit for siding in Beloit?

Martin Exteriors pulls and handles all required permits.

How long does a siding job take?

Most siding jobs take 1 to 2 days. Older homes with several layers or rot underneath can take longer, and we’ll tell you up front.
