Most of Poplar Grove Went Up at Once
Poplar Grove grew fast. Census estimates put the median home in the village at 2002, and about 57% of homes were built between 2000 and 2009. Nearly all of them were sided with builder-grade vinyl, often the same few colors from street to street.
That vinyl is now around 20 years old, and on a lot of houses you can see it. The sunny walls have faded, panels near the driveway are cracked, and some walls have a wavy look where the siding was nailed too tight and can’t move with the heat. When a whole neighborhood was built at the same time, the siding tends to wear out at the same time too.
Re-Siding a 2000s Home
The good news is that these are usually quick jobs. The walls are newer and straighter, so most Poplar Grove siding jobs take 1 to 2 days.
