It’s game day in Rockford. People are walking toward the BMO Center in red and black, kids are pulling their parents along, and by the time the puck drops the whole building is loud. If you’ve been to an IceHogs game, you know the feeling. For a couple of hours, it seems like the whole city is pulling for the same team.
That feeling is a big part of why Martin Exteriors is proud to sponsor the Rockford IceHogs.
The Martin Exteriors Rooftop Club
Look up from the ice at the BMO Center and you’ll spot our name on the upper level: the Martin Exteriors Rooftop Club. During a recent IceHogs home game, our team grabbed a quick video of the Rooftop Club and the crowd and shared it on our Facebook page with a simple message: Happy game day, Rockford!
The Rooftop Club isn’t just a sign, either. It’s a real group space where you can watch the game together, with private seating, its own bathrooms, a cash bar and private elevator access. It fits anywhere from 75 to 200 people, so it works well for a company outing, a networking night or a holiday party. The IceHogs handle bookings, and you can see the details on their premium seating and group spaces page.
Having our name up there means a lot to us. We spend our days on roofs and job sites around the Stateline. Seeing it above a packed crowd of Rockford fans was a good reminder of who we work for. The people in those seats are our neighbors and our customers. Some of them have had us out to their homes. Plenty of them are the same folks we wave to at the gas station.
Why hockey, and why Rockford
The IceHogs play at the BMO Center, right in the heart of downtown Rockford. They’re members of the American Hockey League and the primary developmental affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. That means a lot of the players you watch here are working their way toward the NHL, and Rockford fans get to see them up close first.
But for us, the best part isn’t who’s on the roster. It’s what happens in the stands. There’s real energy and real community pride that comes with IceHogs hockey right here in Rockford. Strangers high five after a goal. Families make it a night out. People who grew up here bring their kids, and those kids grow up cheering too.
That’s the kind of community we want to be part of: one that shows up for one another. Supporting local sports is one of the ways we try to show up, too.
The same effort, on the ice and on your roof
We like to think there’s a little bit of the IceHogs in how we work. A good hockey team plays hard every shift, sticks up for each other and doesn’t take nights off. We try to bring that same quality, dedication and experience to every roofing and siding project we take on, whether it’s a full roof replacement or a few panels of siding after a storm.
Rockford has been good to us, too. Local readers have voted us What Rocks Rockford Best Roofing Contractor, 6 years running (2020 to 2025), and we don’t take that for granted. Backing the IceHogs is one small way we get to say thanks.
Come out to a game
If you haven’t been to the BMO Center in a while, this is your sign. Grab a few friends or bring the whole family. You can find the schedule and tickets at icehogs.com. And if you’re planning a night out for your team or your crew, the Martin Exteriors Rooftop Club is a fun way to do it. We’d love to see it packed.
Watch the video board, too. Every game, our logo pops up and the crowd gets to raise the roof.
